Seasoning clay cookware: Day 1-3: Starch Water Soak Prepare starch water: Use the leftover water from boiling rice or any starchy food. Fill the pot: Pour the starch water inside the clay cookware and let it soak for 3 days. This helps seal the pores of the pot. Day 4-6: Boiling Water at Low Heat Low heat usage: After the starch water has been discarded, fill the pot with water. Boil water at 30% flame: Slowly boil the water for about 15-20 minutes on low heat for the next 3 days. This further strengthens the clay and prepares it for cooking. Day 7-9: Steaming Food Steam food: You can now steam simple food items like vegetables or rice for the next 3 days. Gradually increase usage: After this, your clay cookware is fully seasoned and ready for regular cooking. This process helps prolong the life of your clay cookware and ensures it cooks evenly.
