A grid of bold black squares unfolds in perfect geometric order, and nestled within each square is the 7 Kambu motif, a traditional pattern of seven lines woven with remarkable precision that has been passed down through the hands of Pattamadai artisans for generations. The interplay between the vast natural calm of the body and the rhythmic, jewel-like border creates a composition that feels both grounded and celebratory, like a plain silk saree brought to life by an ornate woven border.
